Welcome to Edinburgh Legal Theory Society

2020 was a weird year, but isolation makes time for late-night philosophical contemplating and now 2021 has a brand new society! We are a group open to anyone passionate about legal philosophy and the role of law in modern society.

Meet Our President 

Val is our co-founder and Co-President. Born in St Petersburg, Val has spent years in the Norwegian fjords, Gabonese Jungle, and everywhere in between. Now rooted in Edinburgh, he is sharing his passion for critical legal theory with us.

Meet Our President

Meet our Co-President Atinc who along with Val envisioned a legal theory society for Edinburgh University students. Originally from Turkey, Atinc grew up in Indonesia and Dubai, eventually coming here to Edinburgh, his love of shisha sunflower seeds, and legal philosophy in tow.
